How to launch a Word Of Mouth (WOM) Campaign ?
Now that the WOM Campaign is created, we need to launch it. There are few ways to launch it, depending on whom do you want to invite to participate in the campaign. You should invite only those who has had some contact with your brand in the past and not anyone anonymous.
1. Your existing customer base
Email is the most common medium of engagement. Create a comma separated file (*.csv) containing your existing customer name and email, import it and notify them to take part in the campaign.
If you already have an email marketing system, newsletter etc, just include the Campaign URL to be part of it.
2. Your social web
Open your WOM Campaign, copy the URL displayed in the "Campaign URL" field. Post this URL in your Social Networks (Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIN, Google+, other blogs and forums) and invite your members to participate in the campaign.
Similar to posting the Campaign URL in your Social networks, you can include it in all your electronic transactions (Invoices, Receipts, Email Signatures etc) and invite your contacts to participate in the WOM Campaign.
Get your creative juices flowing and think of ways to engage with everyone who has had some contact with your brand products & services in the past.
Participating in WOM Campaign
So, the campaign is launched, you've invited your customers to participate in it. Here is how your campaign will look like:
It will hardly take a minute or two to finish. So, you should expect a good response rate.
On Submit, the system will compute if the customer is a 'Brand Advocate' (someone who is willing to recommend you to others), and display the below screen to capture and publish the Positive Word Of Mouth.
So, a simple customer experience survey turns itself into a powerful marketing weapon. The above user generated content will be automatically plugged with your SEO keywords, descriptions and will rank highly on search results, beating your compeittion and driving positive Word Of Mouth traffic to your site.
The advocate can click on any of the publishing buttons (FB, TW, etc) to publish the review to his social network (reaching 10s of 100s of his friends) and also on other top networks where your prospective customers are lurking. You can potentially configure ANY SITE (under settings menu) to which your advocate can publish his testimonial to create brand awareness and thus drive sales.
When the above buttons are clicked, a unique URL, exclusive for the user will be created and shared, so that you can track the Word Of Mouth generated by this user.
Similarly, you can request humourous, clever, romantic stories from your advocates about their experience with your brand products & services. Stories have potentially created huge viral Word Of Mouth in the past, driving sales. You can configure in your settings menu, when should the system request for a such stories.
